Double Adirondack Chair

A double Adirondack Chair from the Handyman Magazine pattern.

Garden Bench

Here are 2 variations on a garden bench.  The 1st bench is a quick and easy bench to build.  The 2nd bench is a two seat with a center table.

Easy-Bench

2-Seat-Bench

Garden Bench - Hoopback

This bench has graceful curves and styling that make it timeless. The joinery is complex and involved. The original appeared in the Woodworker's Journal.

Garden Bench - Oak

Here's a garden bench that's relatively easy to construct.  It's intended to be built from Red Oak and let weather, but it can be made from any material.

Garden Bridge

Here is a small Oriental Garden Bridge that I designed and built for a landscaping project.  The construction notes can be found on the Projects page.

Garden Swing

This Garden Swing appeared in Popular Woodworking magazine.  Integrated into the seat is a simple pop-up table that sits level to the ground while the swing keeps your back at a comfortable angle.

Greene & Greene Garden Table

This Garden & Greene Table appeared in the July 1999 Popular Woodworking magazine. This table is loaded with this signature Arts & Crafts detail.

Picnic Table

This is a round picnic table that I drew up from a web photo.  The dimensions are for a standard height table and the design is concise and practical.

Wheelbarrow Planter

This wheelbarrow planter will make a great enhancement to any garden.  It's made from Pine and the wheel from White Oak using simple but joints.  I used a 1" pipe for the axle but anything could be used instead.

Wheelbarrow Planter #2

Here's another variation of a garden wheelbarrow planter.  It's made from Pine and the wheel from White Oak using simple but joints.  I used a 1" pipe for the axle but anything could be used instead.

Yard Swing

This 2 seat swing is very comfortable. I've made 2 of these and put them on 10 ft. "A" frames. The material for the seat is 2x4s and 3/4" Pine. The "A" frame is made from pressure treated 2x4s and 2x6s.
